15 years of agricultural operations. Five phases of strategic evolution. One systems insight.

Founded by Nadia Zeine | Co-Founder and Executive Director (2011-Present)
Nadia Zeine built Volta Presentation Farms from the ground up over 15 years, leading operations from land acquisition and soil development through production scaling, value-added manufacturing, and international export partnerships. The operational depth gained at VPF directly informed her current role as Managing Partner and CEO of APDC Holdings, where she is building corridor-scale agricultural infrastructure across West Africa.

Five-Phase Timeline
Phase I: Field Production and Variety Trials
Volta Presentation Farms was established on 250 acres along Ghana’s Volta River, focusing on moringa and a diversified portfolio of medicinal and aromatic herbs including artemisia, neem, hibiscus, lemongrass, turmeric, and more than a dozen additional species. A separate 50-acre operation inland supported cocoa and coffee variety trials connected to Ghana COCOBOD programming. This phase established production capability at serious acreage under real agronomic conditions.
2011-2014
Phase II: Direct Market Innovation
VPF pioneered a direct-to-home delivery model for mixed vegetable and herb baskets, establishing early first-mover positioning in Ghana’s emerging fresh produce distribution market. The business expanded into supermarket placement, building distribution infrastructure and customer relationships that demonstrated demand-led commercial execution.
2014-2016
Phase III: Value Addition and Brand Distribution
The operation pivoted to dried finished products, launching the Guaman Infusions brand with 15+ herbal tea varieties. Distribution scaled nationally across Ghana and expanded into regional markets including Nigeria, Gabon, and other West and Central African countries. The product line extended into powders and supplements, demonstrating margin thinking, packaging and compliance discipline, and regional go-to-market capability.
2016-2022
Phase IV: Export R&D Partnership
VPF entered a two-year export research and development phase as a production partner to a German sourcing group supplying major global companies in the medicinal and aromatic herbs sector. This partnership required meeting EU-grade specifications for quality, traceability, and compliance, and provided direct exposure to global supply chain standards, specification-led production, and international counterparty management.

Phase V: The Systems Insight
After a decade of strategic experimentation across production, value addition, distribution, and export, VPF’s operational experience produced a clear conclusion: sustainable agricultural scale in West Africa is constrained not by production capacity but by infrastructure. Storage, processing, logistics, quality standardisation, and structured market access are where value is created and where investable platforms must be built. This insight directly informed the creation of APDC Holdings and the design of Project Sab’a, a corridor-grade agricultural infrastructure initiative.
